Services Offered

I am available to provide doula support through your pregnancy, to birth and beyond. As part of my services I offer the following: 

• a complimentary meet and greet 
• two prenatal visits 
• free access to my lending library  
• available by phone or text upon signing the contract  
• be on call from week 37 on
• will talk about your birth wishes and birth fears and help you practise comfort measures for labor 
• be continually by your side to help with pain management by providing different ways to cope 
• support in recovery room for one hour after birth
• back up doula will be provided in the case of my sickness or a family emergency  
• will bring my calm, positive energy to your birth, showing kindness and encouragement during labor and birth
• assist with breastfeeding
• one postpartum visit is included

I offer postpartum support from the day of your delivery up until 3 months. I will offer non-judgmental, nurturing support and meet you where you are. I can help educate on essential newborn care such a swaddling, diapering and bathing. I know all the right tricks to settle and soothe your baby. While I am with you, I can teach you some of the techniques I've learned over the years that have resulted in previous clients referring to me as "the baby whisperer." In your home I will also assess what needs to be done around the house, then help with light household tasks, make healthy snacks and meal prep! In addition, I am happy to provide resources, links, and articles that could be helpful to you. I am also able to make referrals when needed. 

I am passionate about breastfeeding and helping you have a positive experience with it. I can offer you help with latching baby, finding comfortable positions to feed, and can answer other related breastfeeding questions or issues that you may be  encountering. I have taken over 20 hours of breastfeeding courses to ensure I have a firm understanding of it and how to assist you with it.

If you're feeling like the lack of sleep is getting to you, I offer occasional overnight support to Cochrane and NW Calgary families. Let me attend to your baby so you can get the rest you need. When necessary, I can either bottle feed or bring baby to you to feed. When mom and baby are both asleep, I will utilize that time to quietly attend to other tasks around the house.
